Introducing Dr. Arlene Kahn of Pomona

Meet Pomona chiropractor, Dr. Arlene Kahn

"I was always into the body and its alignment from the time I started dance in high school, often teaching the dance classes when my  teacher was out. It was after a dance injury in college that someone recommended that I see a chiropractor. Then a short time later, I had a bad car accident in a snowstorm and my entire arm was numb and tingling. I again experienced amazing results with chiropractic and learned  not only what was the cause of my problem but that by correcting it through chiropractic care, I would prevent future, more permanent problems."

"I was so amazed with the level of  care and concern, not to mention the results with my experience with chiropractic, that I said 'This is for me, this is how I want to spend my life!'".

Dr. Arlene completed her pre-chiropractic studies at Queens College and Queensboro Community College and entered chiropractic college at New York Chiropractic College in 1980.

During her five academic years at NYCC, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the NYCC Outpatient Clinic in Levittown, NY. After graduating in 1983, Dr. Arlene began practicing in Queens, NY  with Dr. Eric and relocated to Pomona, NY in 1989.

Dr. Arlene looks at her role as a chiropractor as an educator of  how people can take care of themselves, holistically incorporating chiropractic adjustments,  nutrition, exercise and lifestyle counseling into her approach.

Dr. Eric and  Dr. Arlene met  in chiropractic college and they have been together as a couple since 1982. They live together with their 2 cats in a beautiful country setting  in Rockland County.

Dr. Arlene has an extreme love of nature, the environment and animals.

Dr. Arlene and Dr. Eric are committed to a natural, healthy lifestyle, eating organic foods and have both been getting adjusted regularly since 1978 to keep their  bodies, minds and spirits in harmony. "I can't remember the last time I had to take medication for any health concern.", Dr Eric states. "Health is not something that should be out of our reach, with proper education anyone can enjoy better health and vitality", says Dr. Arlene.

“I consider myself an excellent listener and hope I get the opportunity to meet you in person and discuss your specific health challenge. Give our office a call and I will be happy to answer any questions that you might have."

Dr. Eric & Dr. Arlene Asks some important questions of interest to Pomona residents - Chiropractor Pomona Dr. Eric & Dr. Arlene Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
